ANGELA JACKSON LITERACY CELEBRITY
For a long time –Angela chose not to have a TV in her living room. She wanted to be sure to have peace enough to read, and for her children to focus on their homework. Her shelves are brimming with books, and she makes sure to stay current with technology, financial and health information and trends since these areas are part of her own “literacy” needs and interests.
Angela Jackson was selected as the Battle Creek Area Community Literacy Collaborative Coordinator in 2008. She brings over 15 yrs. experience in training, education, and outreach to diverse populations with both business and non-profits. She has background in building collaborations, working with public awareness messages, program development and administration, and event planning. She has demonstrated leadership, excellent customer service, active volunteerism, and unwavering commitment to build healthy communities. Her office is located in the United Way of Greater Battle Creek’s offices in Downtown Batt le Creek.
