The demands for literacy have been rising quickly. Most of us need to improve our skills to handle the complex information demands of the 21st century!
Most people who have been through the U.S. education system can read and write on a basic level. All of us need to get involved in lifelong learning to thrive in our information society.
Read, read, and read some more --- take a class, read with others, talk about what you read! This is the key to getting better at reading and to continuing our learning.
