What is the 21st Century Community Learning Center?
Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program serves all 50 states in over 1,600 communities. In addition to after-school programs, weekend and summer programs are usually provided.
In our community, over 1,800 children in the Battle Creek Public Schools are involved in the program annually in 10 elementary schools and 4 middle schools. Program partners include The Family YMCA Center.
